The Story Behind Volt

Hi, I’m Brandy Rodtsbrooks, founder of Volt Strategies.

I started Volt after years of leading marketing and communications teams in fast-paced organizations. I saw brilliant, purpose-driven people struggling under constant pressure, chasing impact, but running on empty.

I’ve been there myself. After years of pushing past burnout, I walked away from a career that was continuing to grow to build something slower, more intentional, and more aligned. I wanted to help others do the same: find clarity in the chaos, reconnect to purpose, and build systems that sustain.

Volt was born from that shift — a new way of working that blends strategy, storytelling, and structure to help people and organizations thrive.

About our founder

Brandy is a strategist, storyteller, and clarity catalyst based in Oregon’s Willamette Valley.

She brings more than 20 years of experience in brand development, communications strategy, and organizational storytelling — spanning nonprofits, collective impact organizations, financial institutions, start-ups, manufacturing, retail, and creative businesses.

Her approach is both structured and human, combining systems thinking with creative intuition to help organizations see their bigger picture and move forward with purpose.

When she’s not building strategies or brand frameworks, you’ll find her writing, volunteering in the arts and in her community, or chasing her own creative sparks over tea and good conversation.
